Situated in the East Midlands Braai King Delights (BKD Ltd) has become a household name in the Southern African community. Throughout the summer months Braai King has been involved directly and indirectly with hosting bbq events and supporting other community events. Of note is the annual African Festival which BKD partly sponsors and the Kenya Day which takes place at the Eco-Centre in Bingham, Nottinghamshire.
BKD also runs a restaurant, (Braai King Bistro and Grill) at 32 Aspley Lane, NG8 5GF, Nottingham. This family business is managed by Patrice, wife Kudzai, son Bradley and daughter Tafara. The team complements itself very well and conducts business professionally thereby setting BKD Bistro as a family friendly restaurant of choice.
Patrice is originally from Harare, Zimbabwe hence the choice of food served at Braai King Bistro and Grill is heavily influenced by the Southern African cuisine. If visiting, expect generous servings of succulent steak, varieties of Boerewors, drop-off-the-bone ribs, braai chicken wings, vegetables and greens served with pap (sadza, ugali or ntsima), rice, or potato. The list is endless. There are also lots of foods and finger licking nibbles. Tea and coffee is also served. Depending on how you want to enjoy your brew expect to drink some Rooibos or Tanganda, Frisco or Ricoffy. The soft and tipple drinks list ranges from Castle and Hunters Gold to JC Le Roux and Viceroy and everything in between. As the restaurant continues to be quite popular prior booking is highly recommended.
It is time to bring Southern African lifestyle onto the doorstep of East Midlands.
